Vaccinations are among the most important and effective preventive measures to avoid contagious diseases. The elimination of pathogens on a regional level is only possible at a high
vaccination rate. Therefore, we pay particular attention to existing immunization gaps and are glad to provide the according advice.
Basic immunization against tetanus, diphtheria, polio and pertussis is commonly provided during infancy. Meanwhile, the STIKO also recommends vaccination against hepatitis b, Haemophilus
influenza, mumps, measles, and rubella.
Teenagers have the opportunity to be vaccinated against HP-viruses before their first sexual contact.
Women of childbearing age, in particular, should have their immunization examined before pregnancy. Further vaccinations against hepatitis a, cholera, rabies, and Japanese encephalitis,
e.g. based on travel medical indications, are possible and should be discussed during a personal, individual consultation. Long-distance travel especially may yield unexpected
dangers.
Travel medicine and travel medicinal counseling entail more than control and completion of vaccinations.
It is important that you present yourself in time. 4-6 weeks in advance of your journey is advisable – however, sooner appointments are possible!
Please bring your travel documents (itinerary, destinations) and your vaccination record to the appointment.
